Seven Deadly Relationship Sins For Carnival

The Carnival season has just ended and maybe some of your relationships have ended as well because of it. Be honest and tell me if you are guilty of at least one of these.

1. Lying about where you going!-

If you know that you would like to spend sometime away from your boo and attend a fete or two solo, please be truthful about what your intentions are. If one of their friends see you and informs of your location I'm pretty sure the result won't be as fun as the event.

2. Avoid the paparazzi-

Should you decide to ignore No.1 at least be a little smart about it. Don't make it your business to pose for the cameras with your date for the night or climb on stage to meet Machel. No one in the fete wants drama and I'm sure you don't want your bae seeing you in a "compromising" situation.

 3. Backing back-

If you are with your boo at a fete and a stranger comes to whine on you. Do not, I repeat do not, entertain it without their permission. Abort that mission or you may be leaving the fete alone.

4. Going M.I.A-

If during the fete you decide to leave your girlfriend/boyfriend alone in the fete for long periods of time since you found friends that you rather lime with then you are at risk for: a) anyone flexing on bae without you seeing or b) a good trini cuss for leaving them alone.

5. Avoiding contact-

In the event that you decide to meet up at the fete, don't pretend that you didn't realize they were calling or hit the ignore button to keep the distance. Most likely they are going to see you anyway so you might as well go brave and take the call.

6. Phone overuse-

Sometimes you would like to link with your pals in the fete and that's all well and fine but avoid spending the whole time period messaging individuals while your gf/bf enjoys the music alone.

7. Taking front, before front takes you-

Many people choose to end relationships temporarily for the carnival season to allow them full immunity and allow them freedom. Chances are, after that period that person loses trust in you and the relationship would be pretty difficult to get back on track if possible at all.

  1. Thinking hard about if I have ever been guilty of any of these... I do not think so in relation to Carnival. There was that one wine in a club though; my reward, brimstone and fire from the depths of Hades itself. I must say thought, I have no regrets as there was good reason for 'mih dutty ways' *smiles* (backstory ommitted). So yeah, Destra lie bad bad. A lil wine hurt somebody, me. Still smiling.

Now, the other deadly sin is:

    Playing stiff-

I'm not saying that one must be d best winer girl/boy but have a little fun with your partner or risk getting ducked.

When you get "permission" to wine on someone, don't take full advantage of it and be up under them for 3 and 5 songs...yuh pushing it.
